Temasek Junior College - 32nd Students' Council Investiture

This is the day, that all the 32nd elects have been waiting for, since the day we are elected. Reminiscing back the past of campaigning, rallying, mass dance, morning meet-ups, council camp, council campfire... this is where we have come. Many may thought, this has been a long journey for us. However, those were just the prologue of this book, called "The 32nd's Council Term". It is now, the beginning the book, and we the 32nd Students' Council will be the authors of this very book, as we enter our new council term. Today is the day of our pride, the day we don our blazers, the day we receive our name tags, the day we receive our council badge, which has been passed down batch and batch of councillors, generation to generation. It will only not be the day of joy, but the day of recognition of our responsibilities, and (on a more negative tone) the day where the real scrutiny and hardship starts.

To all 32nd Councillors: Although, it may be the day where real scrutiny starts, we will get over it together as a council. Ad Alta: Each Endeavouring All Achieving. Keep this motto of our council in your mind at all times. No matter what hardships, obstacles, challenges that we may face during our council term, we will go through it as one council, one family. Let us also not forget the motto of all the Students' Council of TJC: Betterment Through Dedication. Needless to say, what we do should always be for the good of others.

This is a day, that the 31st Students' Council may or may not have been waiting for. This day marks the end of their council term. The last chapter of their very own book, "The 31st's Council Term". They have left behind a legacy for us, the 32nd Students' Council. It is a unique legacy, different from any other Students' Council batch. It is the 31st's legacy. We will bear in mind, what you have taught us, what you have shared with us as seniors. In the heart of the 32nd's Students' Council, you will never be forgotten, as once a councillor, always a councillor.

To all 31st Councillors: All I can say is thank you! Thank you for all the hard work that you have put in to groom us, to be the next batch of councillors, to continue your legacy. We will not disappoint you, and we will be a council, that is just as strong as your council, and we will serve the college with all of our heart. Thank You!
