GESS SL camp and handover day!!

wow.. this week has been a blast.. with all the strengthquest workshop, PC day, alvin-leon's birthday party, and it has come down to GESS SL camp and handover day!!! haha

1st day of GESS SL camp,
this is the stating day of the camp, too bad i arrived late at school and miss their mission impossible activity. basically its a mini-game to get the campers assorted into groups rather than just telling them what groups are they in.. next they had a little icebreaker cum bonding, in which all the groups created their group name, group flag, and group cheers. there were 4 groups; sunny side up, d24, blue storm and spartans! haha how creative they can be. i especially like the name spartans and their group cheers. it goes like, "who are we? spartans spartans spartans! spartans wad? ough ough ough!" so barbarian i know HAHA, but its cool! anyways the major activity today was amazing race.. so many things happen during the amazing race and oh my THEIR GAMES ARE SUPER CREATIVE, i felt so undermined when i compare my first camp with this camp.. haha.. anyways they met up with a few problems also.. getting chased out of borders and safra! LOL.. then they went for dinner and had night activities which is quite good as well i feel.. lights out at around 0000! had a debrief for the OC (organising committee) and had a long long chat with my friend whom i havent seen for a while haha =)

2nd day of GESS SL camp
today is the day that all the SLs have been waiting for, their destination is: Sarimbun Scouts Camp!! haha... of course in the morning we had a little pt both for the OC and the campers haha and of course OC's pt was handled by hoong leong and i got a little share of it =P haha.. after the pt was breakfast before setting off for SSC! once they reached SSC, the SLs got divided into 3 groups and they went for the various activities planned by innotrek for them, of which there were 3 major activities: rafting, rock climbing and challenge valley!! too bad i didn't get to participate cos i didn't wanna get dirty HAHA! orh there were also 3 scouts who went to SSC to be tested by hoong leong for their cook test, and of course i get to eat the stuff they cook, although not the most hygienic food around, it sure is delicious =) too bad there was an accident and one of the SL got hit in the nose by the raft, so hoong leong and me quickly sent her to NUH to get it checked.. yup.. anyway after that the SLs went to kranji dam for their night trail.. omg.. the night trail is so damn COOL! it was inside the forest nearby the dam, and as there were canopies, the whole place is just so damn dark, you don't know what's lurking nearby!!! haha.. after the night trail, SLs went back to school, and i carried out my little activity for them, to impress upon them the role of a student leader.. yup hope you guys still remember the lesson that i carried out =) slept at 330 after a long evaluation with the OC

3rd day of SL Camp, and handover day!
today's the handover day for us 32nd tj sc, so i didn't stay in gess anymore and went for the handover day. went to sentosa for the morning activities.. and the 2 activities that we play is crazy.. first task for us was to build a TALL structure, using whatever material we can find.. in the end my group lost and we were smeared hair gel, especially me, cos my face was full of gell even on my nose! darn.. second activity WAS GROSS!!! we had to roll down the beach and get a mouthful of the seawater before rolling back up to transfer it into a 1.5l water bottle! OMG.. damn disgusting can.. anyway in the end both group had the chance to splash one another with the water collected YUCK!!! by the end of this activity, it had started raining, and we wasted around 2hours waiting for the rain to subside.. then went for lunch before going back to tj at 3pm.. once we were in school, we had a task to find 36 locker knobs ALL over the school, we managed to find them all within 2hours.. next we had to do 32 SETS of push up in front of the TJC school crest, to represent the 32nd willingness to serve the school with humility, each push up's count must be spelled out, ie for the first push up we need to do 3 push up as there are 3 letters "O-N-E" we finished it at 6pm before moving on to our next task to find a few items regarding the few posts in SC that were hidden again all over the school.. we finished within an hour and we got our final task, to find the president's key.. it was quite easy because we found it within 10 minutes!!! haha.. we played a little game before going into the council room, which will become ours AND DAMN!!!! WE GOT TRICKED WHEN WE WENT IN, AND THE ROOM STINKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG.. did a quick clean up as much as possible, and i went off at 9.30...

WHAT A TIRING WEEKEND!!!! haha....

to my best friend: hey! hope we have cleared all our misunderstanding, and we can get closer! =) anyway i really missed the SLs once i went to harbourfront.. haha.. I really felt i have become the SL family, and of course will continue to help them grow!!=)

to OC of GESS SL CAMP: GREAT JOB GUYS!! I envy you all for the fact that you all could work as a team, and you guys handled problems readily and of course improved over the days! KEEP UP THE GOOD JOB and hope you all learn something from this camp!!! =)

to cadence: hey! thanks for the wonderful thumbdrive and strap that you gave me, also thanks for the nice locker design of a beach! haha I LIKE MY BIG BIG BIG and OUTSTANDING name there =) THANK YOU!!! and good luck for JCT! =)
